Jason started the website after getting frustrated with the high cost of textbooks required for a physics class at Northeastern University, where he studies environmental geology and economics. Jason lives in Boston, Massachusetts, is a licensed boat captain, and works part time for the US Environmental Protection Agency while studying full-time at Northeastern. Jason likes to play outside on bikes or snowshoes. |
Jason’s original website was a garish nightmare. Justin answered a plea for help posted at kottke.org and redesigned the site from scratch. When he’s not donating time to TBR, Justin does web design and development for paying customers. Visit his portfolio at vatoweb.com.
| Wynn started the Stingy Scholar blog to keep track of the many free educational materials he discovered on the web. A comparative literature graduate from NYU, he lives with his wife in Madrid. Wynn is a fan of football and rugby. |
Tyler is a PhD student in Plant Taxonomy at McGill University in
Montreal. Botany isn’t geeky enough on its own, so he spends his spare time learning calculus and tinkering with GNU/Linux. He likes learning and doesn’t believe ideas should cost money, which is why he helps out at TextBookRevolution. Tyler occassionally ventures outdoors, where he likes to chase dragonflies, kayak, and ski cross-country.
