[edit] Abstract
More of Darwin’s greatest hits. He had a real talent for taking simple observations and using them to draw astonishing and accurate conclusions. In this case, by observing and quantifying the behaviour of individual worms he came up with reasonable estimates of the huge impact of worms on the production of soil.
