100 level?

The term '100 level' is not applied in the same way everywhere. At my university it means upper division, mainly for third- and fourth-year students, with classes starting at 200 being graduate classes and those below 100 being lower division, mainly for first- and second-year students, as well as for students taking a class as an elective or to satisfy requirements outside their majors. At other universities, as I understand it, 100-series classes are often introductory, but you might want to clarify the usage here. 23:40, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
