Ken from Alaska wrote in to suggest StudySpanish.com. He says:

[StudySpanish] has a complete grammar and pronunciation tutorial as well as verb section and vocabulary section. I’ve never seen an educational website with as much free stuff as this one.

I agree completely. The site is organized in 9 sections, each one with individual lessons. There are 104 lessons altogether. Readers can work online, or they can download a PDF of each lesson optimized for printing. If you don’t mind downloading 104 PDFs individually, you could actually assemble a full textbook, but you’d be missing out on the other benefits—free interactive problem sets and exams, links galore, a directory of Spanish immersion schools in Europe and Latin America, and much more. Perhaps most impressive is the free online pronunciation help (requires the free Shockwave plugin). If you choose to register (free), you can also access a “virtual report card,” among other features.

There’s more than enough offered for free to satisfy most students and professors, but the site also offers a paid version with access to many more features. At $39.95 for six months’ access, it’s still far cheaper than a standard textbook. Professors or really dedicated students might consider buying the 15-CD pronunciation set.

Available for purchase? Yes, see site for details
